ANIAK RIVER

The Aniak River is another very popular fly fishing destination in Alaska. People come to the various rivers from all over the world to catch the large Salmon that run these rivers each year. This river is best fished by a jet boat, something that can travel into the upper tributaries following these massive salmon. So when you are looking for an Alaska fishing guide be sure to find out what type of boat you will be in. A drift boat or raft is not what you want. Most of these fishing vacations will last all week. This is such a remote area it will take you some time to get to fishing lodge and to the river.

You can use flies, drift gear, or lures when fishing making this a great choice for every type of angler. Although this river is large and full of fish you will find it to have little fishing pressure. It is such a remote river that many anglers will go to some of the rivers that have easier access.
